Canadian Adventures: Discover Canada with New Eyes
Canadian Adventures
Coast Trail on southern Vancouver Island (Victoria, BC). |
Canada is HUGE! It takes an entire lifetime to discover the natural beauty of its land and people. If you're visiting Canada for less than a month, you're only getting a glimpse at its natural beauty.
Visiting Canada usually means flying into one centre and then driving throughout the region. Every region has different views, different natural challenges and different things to do.
In eastern Canada, the Canadian Shield was scoured by ancient glaciers to expose some of the oldest rocks in the world. The never-ending forests are set ablaze in autumn colours come September & October. Check out the things to do in Ontario.
Atop Sulphur Mountain (Banff, Alberta). |
The vastness of the western plains have to be witnessed before you can appreciate the true size of the one of the most bountiful bread-baskets in the world. Exploring the Rocky Mountains makes tourism in Alberta awe-inspiring.
And then there's beautiful British Columbia. This western-most province has towering mountains and a beautiful rugged coastline. The province is home to one of the largest temperate rainforest left in the world and there are plenty of things to do in BC.
When you're visiting Canada, you'll be amazed at all the plentiful wildlife and adventure.

Visiting Canadian Cities
Except for Toronto, Canadian cities are not large collections of buildings and people.
They are open and wide and spread out. For instance, Calgary, Alberta has a population of 1 million people but it feels uncrowded because things are not crammed close together.
There's no crowds, no congestion (except for a 1 hour rush-hour) and there's plenty of space for people to stretch and explore. No wonder 3 Canadian cities are ranked in the top 10 of the most livable cities according to the Economist Magazine (Feb. 2010).
When you take a scenic drive from Calgary, or any other Canadian city for that matter, you'll feel what peace & calm was truly meant to be.
