Things to Do in Saskatchewan
Most people think this prairie province is flat and boring but in reality, it's quite hilly in the south and the north is a land of trees and lakes in the boreal forest. Best of all the people are very friendly and open and there's plenty of things to do in Saskatchewan.
Time slows down when travelling in Saskatchewan and that's perfect when looking for a relaxing vacation.

We've done road trips to Saskatchewan and even though it's no Banff or Whistler, the great open spaces of majestic prairies have created lasting memories. Of course there's things to do in urban areas, such as casinos, spas, shopping and periodic festivals & airshorws. But the appeal to me driving the open roads, visiting the small towns and talking with the friendly residents.

Saskatchewan is all about wide-open spaces and getting far, far away from it all!

Hiking in Grasslands National Park | Canadian Adventures in Saskatchewan

I’ve hiked all over Canada, from the heights of the Rocky Mountains to the coastal shores of the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Ocean. When the opportunity arose to venture to southern Saskatchewan, I was a bit hesitant since Grasslands National Park was one of the lesser-known and least visited national parks. I’m glad I was so wrong!

Grasslands National Park is the only national park in the Canadian prairies and is home to ancient plants, animals and geological history. It’s well off of the beaten path, in southern Saskatchewan and holds a strange and lonely beauty in a place known as the "Land of the Living Skies".
