Things to Do in Manitoba
If you think of Manitoba as a open, boring prairie, you couldn't have been more wrong! Yes, it's a part of the Canadian bread-basket but there are plenty of things to do in Manitoba including water sports, hiking and polar bear tours!
First of all, the people of Manitoba are the friendliest group I've met in southern Canada! Open, helpful and always available for a conversation, even in the big city of Winnipeg. Second, the scenic things to do in Manitoba are astounding! The province is prairie in the south but lake country in the central and northern parts.
Outdoor adventures thrive in the lake district. Just north of Winnipeg, is Lake Manitoba and the HUGE Lake Winnipeg which is popular for water-sports. The sandy beaches at Grand Beach, Manitoba is a water playground for sail boarding, windsurfing and sailing. In the winter, the area becomes a paradise for snow-mobilers. |
