Mac the Giant Moose, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

What other roadside attraction would you expect in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan but the world's largest moose?

You can find Mac the Moose just off of the Trans Canada Highway (#1) at the (1-306-693-80971-866-693-8097).

This sculpture stands 10 meters tall (32 ft) and weights about 9000 kg (10 tons) and was erected in May, 1984. The inside of Mac is a metal pipe framework with a metal mesh conforming to the structure's contours. The entire body is covered with a cement coat. In 2007, due to exposure to the Saskatchewan elements.

Mac the giant moose was named after a local Alderman named Les McKenzie who championed the project.
